‘Sleeping prophet’ predicts American mortgage crisis ahead

Denver, CO.     —     It is 6pm MST on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 and I have called the American presidential race to Illinois Senator Barack Obama. However, it was one of the most renown prophet’s of the 20th century that made a more important prediction for the future ~ tough economic times ahead.

64 years after Edgar Cayce’s death, skeptics have taken notice after the recent stock market crash. The so-called ’sleeping prophet’ predicted that cyclical economic conditions would bring about another stock market crash. The vision proved most convincing following the Sept. 22, 2008 Dow Jones Industrial Average drop of 777.68, surpassing the 684.81 loss on Sept. 17, 2001 ~ the first trading day after the September 11 attacks.

Cayce predicted a mortgage crisis in one of his readings (#3976) that would apply to economic conditions today, according to the Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment. If this prediction proved to be correct, millions of Americans could lose their homes.

Cayce’s material has captivated the public long after his death in 1944. Whether the future unfolds as he predicted in the past, still remains to be seen.

Fear prevents us from embracing the power of intuition. What if we are able to see into the future? Would we like what we see, or be horrified by impending doom? These are important questions to ask on the journey of uncovering our own individual intuitive powers.

A poem by spiritual teacher and author Marianne Williamson illustrates this beautifully:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission.
As we are Liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

'Prophet' Edgar Cayce

Virginia Beach, VA.     —     Edgar Cayce’s predictions were perhaps the best testament to his prophetic powers. He for saw the stock market crash of 1929, the Great Depression; World War II; and, the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls ~ when they were unearthed 11 years later, critics began to take notice.

64 years after his death, critics are taking notice again after the recent economic downturn. Cayce predicted that cyclical economic conditions would bring about another stock market crash. The vision is most convincing considering Thursday’s Dow Jones Industrial average drop of 777.68, surpassing the 684.81 loss on Sept. 17, 2001 ~ the first trading day after the September 11 attacks.
